Thanks, Dorothy! I'm in the early stages of learning about it myself. It certainly isn't a theme that's prominent in news coverage. And while genAI has amplified attention on these costs, what I've realized is that they are costs we've already been paying for our "cloud"-based lives - from streaming video, online games, and everything else we do online. It all requires servers and processors and all the resources it takes to keep them up and running.
I love that you had so many people interested in your One Small Step presentation, Wendy - wonderful work!
